Red Snowflake Christmas Card

Well today was a little crazy hectic.  I had a card already made and everything laid out to do my live video and half an hour before going live, I totally changed my mind.  I do that sometimes, LOL!  So rushed like crazy to create this pretty Christmas card. The simplicity and neat clean look of it really spoke to me.  I saw it on Pinterest and new I had to make a Fun Stampers Journey version of it!

I started with a Cranberry Bliss card base.  Then cut a mat of Butter Cream that measured 4 x 5 1/4". Using scraps from the Holiday Prints paper pack, I cut 4 strips from 4 different patterned papers measuring 7/8 x 3 3/4"  I then notched the one end and glued them to the Butter Cream mat even with the top of the paper and evenly spaced.  I then added a piece of red satin 1/4" ribbon and glued it to the back of the mat.  The mat was then glued to the base card.

I stamped two snowflakes using the medium sized snowflake from the Snow Burst Bundle and the medium snowflake from the Snow Buddy Bundle.  They were stamped onto Butter Cream cardstock with Cranberry Bliss Ink and then cut out using the matching dies.

The larger snowflake was glued to the card and the smaller one was attached using a large foam square.  I had a red button from my stash and threaded it with Candy Apple Journey Twine and Journey Silver Thread and tied in a bow.  The button was then glued to the center of the snowflake.

I chose the sentiment from the Christmas Mug stamp which was a bloom benefit and stamped it with Cranberry Bliss Ink.
